River Island delivery services and thresholds should be confirmed at the live checkout because product, postcode and cut-off affect the promise. River Island’s checked policy allowed eligible items within 28 days. Eligible UK store returns were free except at stated locations, while its portal route carried a £2.95 processing charge. Conditions cover tags, proof, hygiene-sensitive lines and item condition.

Mango’s checked returns page stated 30 days from dispatch for an eligible online return. Store and delivery-point routes were free, while home collection was £1.95. The starting point differs—dispatch rather than receipt—so record the order timeline rather than comparing only the number of days.

Goodwill return policies do not remove statutory rights for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods. Inspect promptly, photograph problems and do not wash or alter a garment while deciding.

Sustainability and care claims

Neither a collection name nor recycled-content headline should decide the basket. Check which component a claim covers, the percentage, named standard and care implications. A garment that does not fit a real wardrobe role is not rescued by a broad environmental label.
